Chinese company eyes Boise
As economic power shifts to Asia, Idaho’s location makes it a prime site for an industrial foothold.
Chinese national company is interested in developing a 10,000- to 30,000-acre technology zone for industry, retail centers and homes south of the Boise Airport.
Officials of the China National Machinery Industry Corp. have broached the idea — based on a concept popular in China today — to city and state leaders.
They are also interested in helping build and finance a fertilizer plant near American Falls, an idea company officials returned to Idaho this month to pursue.
This ambitious, long-term proposal would start with a manufacturing and warehouse zone tied to the airport, and could signify a shift in the economic relationship between the two superpowers — a relationship once defined by U.S. companies like the J.R. Simplot Co., Hewlett-Packard and Morrison-Knudsen that would head to China to build and develop.
“I think China’s coming over here shows they are willing to collaborate on the reinvigoration of the American industrial base,” said Jeff Don, CEO of Eagle-based C3, which is acting as an Idaho representative for the Chinese company, called Sinomach for short.
Sinomach is just one of an increasing number of companies and investors showing interest in Idaho.
Hoku Materials Inc., a subsidiary of a Chinese energy firm, already has 500 people building its $400 million plant to make polysilicon for solar panels in Pocatello. It expects to begin production in 2011, employing 250 people, said Scott Paul, Hoku’s president and CEO.
China surpassed Japan as the second largest economy in the world in 2010. And in June, Gov. Butch Otter traveled there to tell anyone who would listen that Idaho is open for business.
EAST IDAHO PROJECT COULD COME FIRST
Sinomach is China’s third-largest contractor, with more than $14 billion in sales last year. It has been active in more than 130 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, Russia and Eastern Europe as general contractor for large infrastructure and building projects.
Sinomach executives told Southeast Idaho Energy, which is planning to build a $2 billion fertilizer plant in Power County, they want the contract for engineering, procurement and construction. Their access to financing is their deal sweetener.
Southeast Idaho Energy hopes to turn coal into gas to produce nitrogen fertilizer and sulfur. The company expects to hire 700 to 1,000 people during construction with 150 permanent workers.
The company also would separate the carbon dioxide that contributes to climate change and ship it to Wyoming, where it can be pumped underground to enhance the extraction of natural gas.
While Otter was in Beijing in June, he spoke about the project with Jin Kening, chairman of the China National Chemical Engineering Corp. — a different government-owned company. Don said Chinese national companies do compete with each other, but won’t let their own competition get in the way.
“Whatever makes the deal go forward,” Don said.
Doug Sayer, president and CEO of Premier Technology, worked with Otter in Beijing to build long-term relationships with China National. His company could bid on some of the work to build the fertilizer plant.
“Anything we can do to work toward having good industry opportunities for investment is important whether we get a piece of that work,” Sayer said.
The state’s efforts have been critical to the discussions, said Pat Sullivan, a Boise lobbyist who works with Southeast Idaho Energy.
“One thing these Chinese see is we have a governor here who has a great big open-door policy, and I think that’s making a difference in this Sinomach project,” he said.
AN UNUSUAL IDEA THAT MAY BECOME COMMON
Sinomach is not looking only at Idaho.
The company sent delegations to Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania this year to talk about setting up research and development bases and industrial parks. It has an interest in electric transmission projects and alternative energy as well.
The technology zone proposal follows a model of science, technology and industrial parks in China — often fully contained cities with all services included.
But Don and other local supporters have recommended fitting the idea into the kind of planned unit development used for local approval here.
Sinomach officials met with Boise city and airport officials — including Mayor Dave Bieter — to discuss developing a first phase for the technology zone that would set up a base of operations for Chinese companies doing business in the United States.
City officials were cautious, since the idea is at an early stage.
“We understand they are at a preliminary stage. We are waiting to hear back from them with a proposal for where they want to go from here,” said Cece Gassner, assistant to the mayor for economic development.
The proposal could get a boost from this year’s voter-approved constitutional amendment that allows the airport to borrow money to build facilities that can be leased to companies on a long-term basis. The airport commission also has the authority to grant long-term leases and landing rights to air carriers, including those from China.
Sinomach is not the only Asian company looking at Boise, Gassner said.
“We’re getting calls from investors from all across Asia who are interested in Idaho,” she said.
Idaho’s location, only another 45 minutes farther by air than Seattle from Asia, will open many opportunities, state and local officials said.
The state’s low cost for doing business will help, too.
Sinomach is attracted to Idaho, in part, because of the lack of infrastructure here, which means it has more opportunity.
“Idaho’s the last state that should say we don’t want to do business with Asia,” said Lt. Gov. Brad Little. “Asia’s where the money is.”
Yeh Ling-Ling, executive director of the Alliance for a Sustainable USA, said U.S. businesses should be cautious about making contracts that give Chinese companies the best jobs — though she is more worried about investment programs that encourage immigration, which Idaho also has jumped into this year.
“I believe that Idaho or other American companies should first seek investments from America and employ American engineers first,” said Ling-Ling, a naturalized citizen from Orinda, Calif., who was born in Vietnam of Chinese parents.
Little, who met with Zhang Chun, director general of Sinomach, and other company officials, said he thinks the state and the company are a good fit.
But that doesn’t mean the state won’t stick up for its own interests.
“We’re sure not going to favor a Chinese company over an Idaho company,” Little said.

America is in peril, the United States is being occupied as Homeland Security launches a total takeover of society and attempts to indoctrinate an army of citizen spies as the country accelerates its slide into banana republic despotism. The Department of Homeland Security has released a trio of chilling PSA video clips (below) in which ordinary everyday activities are characterized as signs of potential terrorism, with the public being indoctrinated to assume the role of domestic spies reporting on their friends and neighbors as America sinks deeper into a decaying police state.
DHS will no longer be limited to the airport in the form of the TSA, but will become a ubiquitous entity policing everyone through a network of citizen spies and infrastructure security technology. The agency will also assume the mantle of regulating Americans’ every behavior and activity.
In wartime France, the victims of the Nazi occupation could see who their oppressors were, in 21st century America we’re not yet being policed 24/7 by black boot wearing stormtroopers, but perhaps something even more insidious – each other.
Homeland Security is training Americans to spy on their friends, neighbors and colleagues by making us obsessed with the fear of terror – using the very tactic of terrorists to chill the 1st Amendment, tear up the bill of rights, and intimidate Americans into accepting constant harassment, bag searches, body scans, interrogations, and suffocating security-theatre everywhere they go.
So why the V campaign? What is it and what will it achieve? It’s all about fighting back against the psychological warfare we are now being subjected to by our new would-be slavemasters. They like to remind us that they’re our bosses with their signs – report suspicious activity [posters and videos], messages at Wal-Mart checkouts – terroism tip line billboards - Homeland Security posters telling Americans where they can and can’t park their car – using symbols, slogans and messages to herd the sheep and elicit their obedience is obviously a very important component of any authoritarian regime – so why not fight back with our own symbols, slogans and messages?
The Obama Joker poster campaign attracted massive attention and was a huge success in creating an underground buzz of resistance. The ‘V for Victory campaign is based on the same basic idea.

This in turn will encourage others to feel secure in the knowledge that there are Americans who are working to protect freedom of speech and the right to criticize government without being treated as a terrorist, and that Homeland Security’s constant hyped fearmongering about non-existent terror threats is nothing more than an act of psychological warfare to make Americans shut up, mute their dissent, and follow orders like good little children.
From VIPR teams that now patrol Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor and Los Angeles rail lines; ferries in Washington state; bus stations in Houston; and mass transit systems in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Washington and Baltimore, to invasive pat downs at bus and train terminals and on street corners across the country, to rediation-emitting naked body scanners that roam the highwars scanning people’s homes, and public events, Big Sis is engaged in a total takeover of society, turning America into a giant prison grid where everyone is guilty until proven innocent and treated as a potential terrorist.
Show me a case in history where the government recruiting the citizens to spy on each other led to a more secure, happy, free and prosperous society and I’ll show you a chicken with teeth.
The best possible outcome, as in Ease Germany, was a despotic society in which free sprrch was silenced and political dissidents were imprisoned. The usual outcome, as in Stalinist Russia or Nazi Germany – was outright tyranny and death camps. Neither have any place in America.
Homeland Security is now trying to mimic the way of all oppressive regimes, by turning the American people against each other. Their agenda is public – DHS’ own documents clearly state that they consider libertarians, Ron Paul supporters, constitutionalists, gun owners and virtually any political activism as extremism and possible terrorism. As we have seen from a myriad of reports put out by the DHS and threat fusion centers across the country – the ptimary targets of Homeland Security in their campaign to have everyone treated with suspicion are people who know their rights and people who dare to exercise their freedoms.
This has nothing to do with any genuine terror threat. Americans are being coerced into living in constant fear of terror, when in reality they are more likely to die from peanur allergies, lightning strikes, or accedent-causing deer than terrorist attacks.
We need to invoke the spirit of the French who were occupied by the Nazis in World War Two. The V for victory campaign in Paris and elsewhere helped the occupied to understand that the resistance against tyranny was legion. It gave the victims hope that they were not isolated and that their community was bonded in freedom, reducing fear that they would be reported to the authorities by collaborators as a subversive or terrorist for expressing dissent against their occupiers.

Meet The New Boss: China Owns The United States
Transition to tyranny: America has been swallowed up by the globalists and will now be run from Beijing.

Not satisfied with a hemorrhaging trade deficit with China that continues to bleed American jobs at a rate of millions, a crumbling manufacturing base being replaced by the endless import of cheap slave goods from the Communist state, and a stunted economy being rapidly outpaced by the Red Dragon, the Obama administration wanted to further drill it in to Americans who the new boss is yesterday, by placing Chinese flags throughout Washington DC before Obama’s fawning meeting with unelected President Hu Jintao.
Everyone is painfully aware of the fact that China now owns the United States economically, with the Chinese central bank being the largest debt holder at approaching $1 trillion dollars. The average American family with two children collectively owes around $12,000 dollars to China. The Communist state’s ownership of long term U.S. Treasury Securities means the United States pays upwards of $100 million dollars a day to China in terms of interest alone.
China’s huge accumulation of US dollars gives it the sway to lead the United States by the nose like a sheep to slaughter, holding in its hands the power to decide the economic destiny of the now collapsing American empire. The culmination of this process moved a step closer this week when Hu Jintao made it clear that China was preparing to sharpen the knife for the bloodletting to begin, by deriding the dollar as a “product of the past” and signaling its replacement with a new global monetary system based around the Chinese yuan.
This transition is only becoming more obvious with the continuing fire sale of crucial infrastucture to the Red Dragon. Alex Jones’ first documentary film America: Destroyed By Design, made in 1997, warned Americans that the sell-out to the Chinese was the first step on the road to the sacking of the American economy and pulling the plug on key US infrastructure in the move towards global management of the planet.
The figures don’t lie – after a 20 year process of gradual sellout overseen by Clinton, Bush and now Obama – China owns America.
However, to have that notion aggressively reinforced by the plethora of Chinese flags that invaded DC this week goes beyond mere pomp and ceremony. This is meant to send a message to Americans that the United States is being hollowed out and swallowed up by the globalists, and that the center of the new world order empire will be transferred to Communist China in a bloodless coup.
And at the center of it all is a fawning, obedient, bowing Barack Obama, who ironically in the same week as Martin Luther King was remembered, played his role diligently as the house slave for his globalist masters, lavishing Jintao with a private dinner in a stunt that the Associated Press admits was designed to “soften the American public’s suspicions about China,” a nation that detains and tortures individuals for exercising their rights to freedom of association, freedom of religion and freedom of expression, wguke abducting, beating and performing forced abortions on women who refuse to submit to the country’s brutal one child policy.
The sickening worship and fealty displayed towards Jintao and China this week is all about training Americans to recognize who their new slavemasters are – the globalists who have exalted the Communist state as a model country for the new world order – a world in which antiquated ideas about freedom of the individual, prosperity, self-determination, family and happiness will be abolished.
Commerce Rules Over Freedom
How did this all come about if we won the War against England? The answer is simple when you understand the economics of the time. The so-called Founding Fathers (esquires) had money and power. They came to America and gathered a large amount of wealth, as did other law-merchants. Washington for instance worked for the Virginia Land company, a subsidiary of the East India Trading company, which was controlled by the British Board of Trade. He sold land to some States that went all the way to Lake Superior and the Missouri River. Jefferson had a huge plantation in the south. These men wanted to be free of the King, in this country.
Any speculator in depreciated public securities would be strongly for a system that could offer him the use of the political means to bring back their face value. More than half of the delegates to the constitutional convention of 1781 were either investors or speculators in the public funds. Probably 60% of the values represented by these securities were fictitious, and were so regarded even by their holders.
They also had many land holdings and businesses in Europe. Benjamin Franklin even commented about how good it was to expatriate every so often and go home to England to tend to business there. You have to remember that about 80% percent of the people in America remained loyal to the Crown. Only 5% really pushed to gain independence. Well, they won independence from the King until the King wanted back all the money he had invested in his British Colonies, now called the confederate states.
Since the British Board of Trade was concerned, in 1700, about losing wealth, this was the time for them to take control of the situation. After all, paper money was being printed in just about every confederate state thereby wiping out the Bank of England’s control of the wealth of the Colonies. The Treaty of 1606 still existed, so the King gave an ultimatum to those men.
Now is the time to put yourself in the businessmen’s shoes and tell me if you would do anything different.
America had no Navy to defend the waters. It was dependent on trading with the foreign countries of Europe using British trading ships. America was not yet self sufficient. The King, knowing this, said to the men, I will seize all your property and businesses in England under escheat. I will run a blockade on the ocean and permit no trading to be carried on with America. I will have total control of the amount of time your stores run out due to a lack of trade.
The Founding Fathers knew it was just a matter of time for this to happen, so they agreed to cut a deal. This deal was to make the confederation appear to be frail, so they could craft a compact. This compact would gather in all the states, in which the states would be forbidden to use their own paper money. The corporate States, which the Founding Fathers did not create, were forced to pay their debts in silver or gold, per Article 1, Section 10, Clause 1. But this restriction did not extend to the people, they could use anything they wanted to use for money.
Now you can understand a little better about the British Board of Trade’s control of the whole works.
When you read James Madison’s Federalists Paper No. XLIII, there is a curious and highly significant omission in Madison’s presentation of the case for paper money. He makes little mention of such paper money sustaining the Colonies, or the fact that paper notes issued by the State of Massachusetts Bay, which was the only paper money ever issued in the history of our country up to that time and ever since, were being redeemed at their exact value, in purchasing power, as when they were issued.
The Massachusetts currency note was defined in terms of Corn, Beef, Sheepswool and Shoe-leather, the raw material of the necessities of life, purchasable for the going sum, at the time of issue. This was uninflatable money.
The soundest lesson on money is taught by the Bible in the story of Pharaoh’s steward, Joseph, that wealth is not gold or money, but is the raw materials of the necessities of life. King Midus died of starvation for lack of food because everything he touched turned to gold, because he valued gold more than the necessities of life.
Had the Framers not cut a deal with the King, in heeding this lesson of the Midus Touch (and you were taught that they were God fearing men divinely inspired by the Lord), they would have adopted the paper Massachusetts Bay note and been spared endless misery and looting by the conspirators. As Patrick Henry stated, “I’m starting to smell a rat”.
Is it any wonder why the We the People rushed to seal the Deal between themselves and the King, leaving us the little people in the dark? Sealing the Deal would allow the British Board of Trade to use its international banking cartel to once again control the trade through the use of ITS paper notes. And in exchange, the King would solidify, by two more treaties under the compact/agreement of the new Constitution, his hold on his property in America. England was very near bankruptcy and had to hold onto its holdings in America.
Being business men, the “WE’s” jumped at the offer and a new constitution to seal the new deal was formed by We the People. Was the We the People the 80% of the people in America? No! The We the People were those few who drafted the Constitution, therefore the need for the capital ‘P’ in the word ‘People’.
English grammar dictates that a capital letter shows a specific person, place, or thing. And, like all the state constitutions, this too was not presented to the people. So after all the smoke cleared away, the people had a new King and some vice-admirals, called governors of each of the political subdivisions. Those 5% in power still ruled the 80% of the masses that didn’t give a hoot and the 15% who did.
To confirm Patrick Henry’s concern that we would have a despotic government, which by the way if you haven’t noticed has been here for a long time, James Winthrop in his Agrippa papers, stated this to the people in December of 1787:
To prevent any mistakes or misapprehensions of the argument stated in my last paper, to prove that the proposed constitution is an actual consolidation of the separate states into one extensive commonwealth, the reader is desired to observe, that in the course of the argument, the new plan is considered to be an entire system. It is not dependent on any other book for an explanation and contains no references to any other book. All the defences of it, therefore, so far as they are drawn from the state constitutions or from maxims of the common law, are foreign to the purpose.
Agrippa then blows apart the constitution in the Jan. 1st, 1788, letter of Agrippa wherein he states:
It is shown from the example of the most commercial republic of antiquity, that such a government can be only supported by power, and that commerce is the true bond of union for a free state.
Agrippa is replete on commerce, and that’s what a commonwealth, a corporate entity Democracy, is. The Jan, 20th, 1788, letter, The Federal Farmer, points some of this out. It is one of the Anti-Federalist letters. Also, the Dec. 31st, 1787, letter contains therein a short sentence which says, “As to merchants and traders, they are our agents in almost all money transactions; they give activity to government and possess a considerable share of influence in it”.
The union is a political corporate entity, a commonwealth, a Democracy, no doubt about it. And some patriots say that the Uniform Commercial Code has nothing to do with our arguments?
Everything is done by letters of acceptance or letters of demand for payment
Then the transaction proceeds to the courts, and the court only has venue and jurisdiction when all parties consent to the jurisdiction. You consented to the jurisdiction by becoming a citizen of “the State of…” having corporate business with the State. That is why the judge can sit on the Governor’s Bench and make a plea for you, despite your objections to the contrary, because your strawman is a subject/slave/citizen/taxpayer “of” (belonging to) the State. The choice is yours, but they all mean the same thing. You are controlled by your sovereign, the State.
